It’s that time of year when I like to revisit the highlights of the season, and we begin with Claire & Martin who had a fabulous day for their early summer wedding in Hathersage.  Starting at the historic St. Michaels Church famous for being the resting place of Little John.

After this tasteful gathering of family and friends the celebrations continued at the family home above Hope Valley in Hathersage.

Claire & Martin spent the better part of a year painstakingly making all of the decorations, furniture, the bar and the dressings for their marquee function area, and they even grew the wild meadow flowers to be perfectly timed to bloom for their wedding day. Every detail was planned with care, attention and love.

It was a fabulous beginning to the wedding season and an absolute pleasure to photograph.  We even ventured out to shoot the couple standing up above the glorious Peak District valley views with the family home as the backdrop.
